Lino the Lamp is a night lamp. Every night, Lino dreads the moment he is switched off just when Mrs. Lee is about to sleep. He is a lamp, after all, and is not used to being in the dark.
Ali Alarm Clock needs to hold Lino down as he gets on the verge of a panic attack! ‘Help! I can’t see!’
‘Shush!’ Ali will say. ‘You will wake everyone up.’
‘Isn’t that better so we are not left in the dark?’ Lino will say.
Lino the Lamp is afraid of the dark. There are lots of horrible things that could happen:
– maybe there will be a big tiger that will jump from behind and scratch him to shreds
– maybe there will be monsters that will sneak up from underneath and eat him alive
– maybe there will be vampire bats that will come down from the ceiling and attack him
– or even worse… there may be aliens that will kidnap him and use his parts for their spaceship!

Everyone is familiar with Aesop’s Fables. Aesop has been credited with inventing the fable. Indeed, the name Aesop has become synonymous with fables. However, animal fables existed long before Aesop. Herodotus seemed to think everyone knew Aesop and his fables so well that he did not need to give any details of Aesop or his work.
Telling your child a story at bedtime is a tradition many parents have followed for centuries. Telling your child bedtime stories that teach comes with many benefits to both parent and child. Many medical research studies have shown that regularly reading your child bedtime stories can actually enhance their speech and language development. It is said that reading bedtime stories that teach can even help the child’s brain to absorb the parents voice, as well as the language the parent is speaking.
Fable is a literary genre: a succinct fictional story, in prose or verse, that features animals, mythical creatures, plants, inanimate objects, or forces of nature that are anthropomorphized. A fable differs from a parable in that the latter excludes animals, plants, inanimate objects, and forces of nature as actors that assume speech or other powers of humankind.
I spent many delicious hours as a child reading fairy tale. Deeper meaning resides in the fairy tale told to me in my childhood than in the truth that is taught by life.
Some of the best stories for kids are the classics. These stories have been around for generations, and are still best sellers and favorites in many families. Many great stories for kids are available today in the bookstores as well as online.
Short Moral Stories seem hard to come by these day or maybe just that there are so many shows and stories available with no moral content.
A bedtime story is a traditional form of storytelling, where a story is told to a child at bedtime to prepare the child for sleep. It’s really better if you have soft, comfortable jammies for them. Next, you might want to read your child a bedtime story.
These could be kids story or your own corrected and recorded journals.
The varying corpus denoted Aesopica or Aesop’s Fables includes most of the best-known western fables, which are attributed to the legendary Aesop, supposed to have been a slave in ancient Greece around 550 BC.

The “Town Musicians of Bremen” (German: Die Bremer Stadtmusikanten) is a fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm. Despite the title of the fairy tale, the characters never actually arrive in Bremen. In Aarne–Thompson classification it is a folk tale of type 130: “outcast animals find a new home”.[1]

BREMEN TOWN MUSICIANS Plot Summary :
In the story a donkey, a dog, a cat, and a rooster (or hen), all past their prime years in life and usefulness on their respective farms, were soon to be discarded or mistreated by their masters. One by one they leave their homes and set out together. They decide to go to Bremen, known for its freedom, to live without owners and become musicians there. (“Something better than death we can find anywhere.”)
On the way to Bremen, they see a lighted cottage; they look inside and see four robbers enjoying their ill-gotten gains. Standing on each other’s backs, they decide to scare the robbers away by making a din; the men run for their lives, not knowing what the strange sound is. The animals take possession of the house, eat a good meal, and settle in for the evening.
Later that night, the robbers return and send one of their members in to investigate. He sees the Cat’s eyes shining in the darkness and the robber thinks he is seeing the coals of the fire. He reaches over to light his candle. Things happen in quick succession; the Cat scratches his face with her claws, the Dog bites him on the leg, the Donkey kicks him with his hooves, and the Rooster crows and chases him out the door, screaming. He tells his companions that he was beset by a horrible witch who scratched him with her long fingernails (the Cat), an ogre with a knife (the Dog), a giant who had hit him with his club (the Donkey), and worst of all, the judge who screamed in his voice from the rooftop (the Rooster). The robbers abandon the cottage to the strange creatures who have taken it, where the animals live happily for the rest of their days.
