  • Planets of the Solar System | Videos for Kids

    Planets of the Solar System | Videos for Kids

    You will learn about “Planets of the Solar System” in this video.

    The eight planets in their increasing order of distance from the Sun are Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune. They revolve around the Sun in definite orbits.

    Mercury is the smallest planet in the solar system. As Mercury is nearest to the Sun, it is extremely hot during the day and extremely cold during the night.

    The second planet Venus, is the hottest and brightest of all planets. As it can be seen in the morning and evening, it is called as the morning star or evening star.

    The third planet in the solar system is our planet Earth. Nearly 70% of the Earth’s surface is covered with water, due to which the Earth is also called the blue planet. It is the only planet on which life is known to exist.

    The fourth planet is Mars. It is also known as the red planet, because of the presence of red soil and rocks.

    The fifth and the largest planet in the solar system is Jupiter. It is so large that it can occupy nearly 1300 Earths inside it.

    The sixth planet, i.e. Saturn is the second largest planet in the solar system. It is yellowish in colour. It has beautiful rings around it that are made up of ice and dust.

    The seventh planet is Uranus. A thick layer of gas covers this planet.

    The eighth planet is Neptune. As this planet is farthest from the Sun, cold winds blow here at very high speeds.

  • Krishna & Karna Stories – Short Stories from Mahabharata – Animated Stories for Kids

    Krishna & Karna Stories – Short Stories from Mahabharata – Animated Stories for Kids

    Krishna & Karna – Karna is the greatest Hero of Mahabharata. He was matchless warrior and a man of compassion whose magnanimity knew no bounds. Karna was the son of Lord Surya and Kunti devi. He was born before the marriage of Queen Kunti to King Pandu. so Karna was abandoned in the river Ganga. A charioteer of Duryodhan, Adhiratha and his wife Radha took care of him. He excelled in every thing. Since he was brought up by a charioteer, he was considered to be of lower caste. Krishna knows about the secret of Karna’s birth and wants to bring him to the Pandava army as he doesn’t want him to die along with Duryodhana. He tells Karna, the secret about his birth. He also tells that he will be greatest among the Pandavas and all other brothers will listen ti him. But Karna refuses and tells Krishna, that when the whole world humiliated him, Duryodhana rendered him all support. He does not want to desert Duryodhana and join Pandavas. Rather he would give his life for his friend Duryodhana. Krishna, the Lord himself was Drumstruck with Karna’s loyalty towards his friend Duryodhana.

  • Reptiles | Educational Video for Kids

    Reptiles | Educational Video for Kids

    ▶ SUBSCRIBE HAPPY LEARNING! http://bit.ly/HappyLearningTV
    Educational Videos and songs for Kids. Today we’re going to learn about reptiles!
    Reptiles are vertebrate animals which are characterized by their special way of moving: many move by dragging their tummy, or abdomen, on or close to the ground; their name,
    in Latin, means just that: reptar mean to crawl or slither.
    Many are terrestrial, but there are also some that live in water.
    All reptiles have a number of characteristics we should know about so we can recognize them. Reptiles are cold-blooded animals
    that breathe with their lungs.
    They are oviparous, that is they reproduce by eggs; when the eggs develop and hatch, the babies are just like their parents…
    but very small. Aren’t they cute?
    As you can see, reptiles’ skin is covered with strong, tough scales, and some, like tortoises, even have a shell. It looks like he has his house on his back, doesn’t it?
    As for feeding well, most reptiles are carnivorous… They hunt,
    like this crocodile which has just eaten this poor rodent;
    or this cute chameleon, with its long, sticky tongue that catches all kinds of insects… Look, look! As we said already,
    most reptiles are carnivorous, but some, like this iguana, are herbivorous.
    There are lots of interesting things you should know about reptiles,
    such as: most snakes have venom in their fangs…
    But they’re not as bad as they seem, because they warn us of danger with their bright colors or the sound of their rattles.
    Chameleons are very curious: they can change color, copying the landscape around them they blend in with the background so no-one can see them, and they become almost invisible.
    So let’s remember the most important characteristics of reptiles.
    Reptiles walk by dragging their tummy on or close to the ground;
    they are oviparous and their body is covered with strong, hard scales…
    They are vertebrates and are cold-blooded… And remember, they breathe with their lungs. Reptiles really are quite interesting, aren’t they? Well, goodbye for now everyone,
    and don’t forget to subscribe to Happy Learning!
