Letter School is the app that sold me on the iPad. It really demonstrates what is possible with native apps in terms of engagement and education. The app is great for preschoolers and Kindergarteners or very early readers and writers. The app has exercises for tracing and writing capital letters, lower case letter, and numbers. There are also a few different font styles.
Common Core Standards
This is a full app preview of the Letter School iPad App. This is a great app for beginning readers. Go through the whole alphabet in upper case and lower case letters. Great animations to keep your child engaged and learning.
HOW IT WORKS
Kids learn to write letters and numbers as they play four exciting games per letter or number:
