Lyrics:
VERSE: My name is Don and I worked in a button factory. I had a boss and she got meaner by the year. One day she asked, “Hey Don, are you busy?” I said, “No.” Then she said, “Push this button with your right finger.”
My name is Don and I worked in a button factory. I had a boss and she got meaner by the year. One day she asked, “Hey Don, are you busy?” I said, “No.” Then she said, “Push this button with your left finger.”
My name is Don and I worked in a button factory. I had a boss and she got meaner by the year. One day she asked, “Hey Don, are you busy?” I said, “No.” Then she said, “Push this button with your right foot.”
My name is Don and I worked in a button factory. I had a boss and she got meaner by the year. One day she asked, “Hey Don, are you busy?” I said, “No.” Then she said, “Push this button with your left foot.”
My name is Don and I worked in a button factory. I had a boss and she got meaner by the year. One day she asked, “Hey Don, are you busy?” I said, “No.” Then she said, “Push this button with your nose.”
My name is Don and I worked in a button factory. I had a boss and she got meaner by the year. One day she asked, “Hey Don are you busy.” I said, “Yes, I’m busy, they’re busy. Aren’t you looking?”
You’ve likely heard other versions of the Button Factory song such as, Hi, my name is Joe. This is a popular camp song that sung around the campfire. It is also a great music and movement song enjoyed by preschooler through elementary age children. Physical Education teachers often use Button Factory in their gym programs because it’s a healthy workout too! Certainly action songs are a great way for families to unite and enjoy fun physical activities together. And they encourage young children to stay active and fit, as they promote the development of valuable social, large muscle, coordination and motor skills.
